TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Season Series: tied 1-1
Tonight's game marks the third meeting of the season between these two teams, who haven't seen each other since opening weekend. Toledo spoiled the Nailers home opener on October 15, but Wheeling returned the favor the following routing Toledo 6-0 night in front of a crowd of 8,000.
The Nailers look to rebound today after a tough 4-3 shootout loss last night to Reading. Despite the loss Wheeling earned a point in the standings to maintain its first place lead in the North Division. Joey Haddad scored two goals last night, and Nick Petersen scored for the seventh time in the past eight games.
On Friday, Toledo defeated Reading in overtime. The Walleye are lead offensively by rookies Andy Bombach (27 pts) and Zach Torquato (26 pts). The Walleye will be looking extend their winning streak to three straight.
