Countdown to Face-Off
December 10, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second straight night, the Kalamazoo Wings battle the Missouri River Otters inside of the Family Arena. Last night, the K-Wings erased a three-goal deficit to force the game into a shootout. However, in the extra session, it was the Otters scoring the shootout's lone goal to defeat the K-Wings 4-3.
Despite the shootout loss, the K-Wings point coupled with a Motor City Mechanics win over the Muskegon Fury put the K-Wings in first place in the Central Division. After tonight's game the K-Wings will return home to Kalamazoo two play two consecutive home games, which ends a spell of 10 of their last 13 on the road.
The River Otters have saved their best hockey for the month of December. Missouri, who hasn't suffered a loss this month, is enjoying their first three-game winning streak of the season. Frank Littlejohn was the difference maker last night for the Otters, as the forward netted two-goal in the victory for the Otters.
