Countdown to Face-Off
Published on April 18, 2005 under International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
After playing the first two games of the series at Wings Stadium, both the Kalamazoo Wings and the Rockford IceHogs will head to Rockford, Illinois for game three of the series. The K-Wings head into the Rockford MetroCentre trailing the IceHogs two games to none in the Best of Seven First Round Colonial Cup Series.
While it isn't do-or-die, tonight's game is a pivotal one for Kalamazoo. In the regular season, no team in the UHL won more road games than the K-Wings. Kalamazoo will have to rely on their road savvy to earn their first victory of this series.
With two wins under their belt, the IceHogs return home looking to add pressure on the K-Wings. Rockford would love nothing else than to win tonight and give them a chance to wrap up the first round series on Wednesday here at the Rockford MetroCentre.
