The Rockford IceHogs made a return to the Colonial Cup Playoff and made a big splash. Rockford topped the Kalamazoo Wings in Games One and Two to take a 2-games-to-0 best of seven series lead over the Wings in the first round of the Colonial Cup Playoffs. The scene now shifts to Rockford for Game Three Tuesday and Four Wednesday night with a possible Game Five in Kalamazoo on Friday and a Game Six back at the MetroCentre Saturday.

Transactions
-Winger Brandon Segal was assigned to Rockford from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Friday, April 15.
-Center J.C. Ruid was activated from the 10-Day Injured Reserve on Friday, April 15.
-Goalie Eric Salvail was added as the team ¬â¢s emergency back-up on Friday, April 15.
Bacon Bits:
Rockford picked up their first ever road win in the post season on Friday, 3-0 over Kalamazoo.
The two wins for the Hogs marked the first time in which Rockford won more then one game in a playoff series.
Rockford goalie Michel Robinson began his post-season professional career with a franchise record 114:23 shutout streak.
Winger Brandon Segal became the first IceHogs skater to record a hat-trick in a post season game when he tallied three times on Saturday.
Segal and center Alex Kim tied a franchise record for most points in a playoff series with five. Segal had 4g-1a-5pts, while Kim recorded 2g-3a-5pts.
Kim and winger Jason Ralph set a franchise record for most assists in a playoff game chipping in three helpers each on Saturday.
Center Olivier Proulx was whistled for seven minor penalties over the two game weekend, including a franchise record six on Friday night in Kalamazoo.
Rockford was an incredible +37 over the two game weekend. The Hogs allowed only one goal in the two games, and it was on the power play.
Hot Hog: Week 27
Wingers Alex Kim and Brandon Segal: The IceHogs combination accounted for 6g-4a-10pts and a plus/minus rating of +13 in the IceHogs two post season victories over the weekend. Segal had a hat-trick in Saturday ¬â¢s game and finished the weekend with 4g-1a-5pts while Kim had 2g-3a-5pts and was a +5 on Saturday.

Tuesday, April 19 vs. Kalamazoo Wings. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Playoff hockey returns to Rockford Tuesday, when Game Three of the 2004-05 Colonial Cup Playoffs with the Wings commences. Rockford looks to creep closer to moving on in the playoffs! The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive Smash Hit Hockey Poster #6 from Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi and the Rockford Register Star.
Wednesday, April 20 vs. Kalamazoo Wings. Face-off set for 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Wings mix it up in Game Four of their best-of-seven playoff series. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a certificate to redeem a 2004-05 Rockford IceHogs regular season highlight DVD from seven11 Productions, Fat Wallet.com, Dental Dimensions, Featherstone Clinic and Metro Medical Services. Also, the first 500 fans will pick up a fly swatter from Swat Pest Control.
Friday, April 22 at Kalamazoo Wings (if necessary). The game begins at 6:35 p.m. Game Five, if necessary, will be played at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, if the Wings can top the IceHogs at the MetroCentre.
Saturday, April 23 vs. Kalamazoo Wings (if necessary). The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. If Kalamazoo tops Rockford twice this week, Game Six will be played at the MetroCentre on Saturday.

Season Ticket Renewals:
Season ticket holders can now renew their season tickets for the 2005-06 season! All season tickets must have a $100 deposit per seat for the 2005-06 season by Friday, May 20. Playoff Tickets Available:
Individual single game playoff tickets are now on sale at the Rockford MetroCentre Box Office for the IceHogs first round match-up with the Kalamazoo Wings. Game Three will take place on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m., while Game Four will be played on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. If a Game Six is necessary, the Hogs will host the contest at the MetroCentre on Saturday, April 23 at 7:05 p.m. Call (815) 968-5222 for tickets.
