Trashers host playoff games Wednesday and Friday

DANBURY, CT—Following two overtime wins last weekend in Glens Falls, NY against the Adirondack Frostbite in the opening round of the Colonial Cup Playoffs, the Danbury Trashers will host their first ever playoff games this Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30pm from the Danbury Ice Arena. The Trashers lead the best-of-seven series against the Adirondack Frostbite 2-0.

All fans on Wednesday night will receive a Danbury Trashers ‘Turn It Up Cup’ courtesy of Carmine’s Plumbing and Air Conditioning. The ‘Turn It Up Cup’ is a combination cup holder, mini-megaphone and noisemaker.

Radio station I-95 FM will be holding the finals of their ‘Geezer Idol’ contest during the first intermission on Wednesday. ‘Geezer Idol’ is a singing contest featuring contestants 29 years of age or older. The finalists were selected at preliminary contests held earlier in the month.

Limited edition Trashers playoff t-shirts will also be available at the Danbury Ice Arena for $17.00. Fans can get a free playoff t-shirt with the purchase of an adult replica jersey at the Trashers team shop.

Tickets are available for both nights and all seats are priced at $15.00 each. They are available online at DanburyTrashers.com, by calling 866-565-7825 ext. 116 or in person at the Danbury Ice Arena.
