Tonight is the third and final meeting in the regular season between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Wheeling Nailers. This will be the rubber match between the teams. Both have defeated home ice by defeating the other with similar 3-2 shootout victories.
Kalamazoo concluded the month of January with a 1-4-0-1 record away from Wings Stadium. The K-Wings will be looking to snap a season-high five-game (0-4-0-1) road winless streak. Kalamazoo enters tonight two points behind the Evansville IceMen for second place in the North Division.
This evening is the final game of a four-game home stand for Wheeling. The Nailers are heating up, as they have won four out of their last six games. Wheeling enters tonight three points behind the Reading Royals for first place in the Atlantic Division.
