TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (28-9-2-3) will try to split this two-game weekend series with the Las Vegas Wranglers (11-24-3-1) who won the first game last night 5-2. Five goals-against ties the season-high record for the Reign; this many goals against has happened six times this season and Ontario has won two of those six games. Tonight's game will mark the halfway point of their season series with the newly adjusted Western Conference schedule. This season Ontario is 3-1-0-0, all-time, the Reign is 27-25-3-3 against the Wranglers.

PUTTING IT ON:

Travis Fullerton was between the pipes for Las Vegas last night and he did a tremendous job stopping the Reign from getting past. Ontario fired 49 shots against the Wranglers goaltender for the second-highest shot count of the season; the Reign had 55 shots against San Francisco on Dec. 16. However, a season record was broken for Ontario as they registered 27 shots in the third period alone.

KILLING THE PENALTY:

Until last night, the Reign had allowed a power-play goal for the past six straight games. Their penalty killing is their weakest point at 84.8% - ranking 14th in the entire league.

POWERFUL ON THE ROAD:

To counter the struggles with the penalty kill, the Reign have the strongest road power play with 17 power-play goals scored on 83 man-advantages for a 20.5% successful conversion rate. Ontario also leads the lead with a 16-4-0-2 road record good for 34 points on the season. Their 16 wins is also the most road wins of any time in the ECHL.
