LAS VEGAS, NV - The Ontario Reign (28-9-2-3), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, were stunned by a 5-2 loss to the Las Vegas Wranglers (11-24-3-1) before a sellout crowd at Orleans Arena on Friday night.

Las Vegas lit the lamp twice in the first period with tallies from Justin Berhardt and Adam Hughesman. Barhardt scored halfway through the first period at 10:06 and Hughesman made the most of a rebound that came off the pads of Jussi Olkinuora and beat the Reign goaltender's glove with a snapshot late in the period.

The second period saw the Wranglers' third straight goal off the stick of Adam Huxley as the only tally of the middle 20 minutes.

Berhardt scored his second of the night just 24 seconds into the third period with quick score from the slot through traffic.

Cameron Burt fed a pass from the left circle to Mario Lamoureux in front of the Wranglers net. The forward jammed the puck past Travis Fullerton to get his team on the board at the 5:30 mark. Chad Nehring scored with 7:21 left in regulation with a little deke and backhand shot giving the Wranglers a 5-1 lead.

Gasper Kopitar notched another goal in the third period with a power-play goal he wristed in from just outside the Wranglers crease. The goal came with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.

Olkinuora made 21 saves in the loss; Fullerton took the win with 47 saves on 49 Reign shots.
