Published on April 29, 2014 under ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
It's a win-or-go home game for the Kalamazoo Wings, as they host the Greenville Road Warriors in a crucial game six of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The K-Wings lost game five 4-3 in an epic triple overtime finish and as a result trail the best-of-seven series three game to two.
Kalamazoo returns home looking to force a decisive game seven with a boost to their lineup. Earlier this afternoon, the K-Wings added forward Eric Kattelus and defenseman Brent Ponich. Both players were in the American Hockey League with the Chicago Wolves.
Greenville heads into Wings Stadium looking to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the second time in team history. The Road Warriors last advanced to the conference semifinals during the 2011 postseason, where they lost to the Wheeling Nailers in seven games.
