Kane County Cougars News Release
GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that pitcher Felix Pena has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to August 22. RHP Jose Arias will rejoin the Cougars from Boise. Today's roster moves maintain an active squad of 25 players as the team continues a four-game series in Wisconsin.
Arias made two appearances with the Cougars in April tossing 5.2 innings and allowing six earned runs before being placed on the disabled list. Arias came off the disabled list to pitch for the AZL Cubs from July 9 to August 2. He allowed just three runs in 10.2 innings while striking out 12 and walking only two. He was promoted to Boise where he pitched from August 8 to August 21 without allowing a run over 10.2 innings.
