NORMAL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, moved into first place in the Frontier League West Division with a 2-1 12-inning win to complete a suspended game from Friday and a 5-0 decision on the second straight one-hitter by Drew Provence in the regular contest on Saturday night at the Corn Crib.

In the completion of the suspended game, the CornBelters scored the 2-1 win in the 12th inning with a bases-loaded walk-off walk issued to T.J. Gavlik by Keli'i Zablan, scoring Mike Schwartz, who had reached with a one-out double and went to third when Steven Felix was intentionally walked and Romulo Ruiz was hit by a pitch.

Mitch Mormann (2-1) earned the win in relief while Zablan (0-1) took the loss in the opener.

In the nightcap, the CornBelters scored first with two outs in the opening inning when Pat McKenna doubled, went to third on a fielder's choice and scored when the third strike to David Medina went back to the wall. The Belters added a pair in the fifth on McKenna's fourth home run onto the right field lawn to extend the lead to 3-0. The Belters added a pair of runs in the sixth on a dropped infield pop-up with two outs.

Drew Provence (2-0) surrendered an infield single in the first inning for his only hit in his second consecutive complete-game one-hitter. Brett Harman (0-1) took the loss.

The series and homestand concludes on Sunday with a 6 p.m. first pitch against the Rascals on Frontier Family Fun Night.
