Condors Land Four On All Star Team

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, had four players named today to the National Conference All-Star Team, it was announced today. RW Dan Sexton, C MacGregor Sharp, G Timo Pielmeier and D Eric Regan were all selected in a vote among the league's players, coaches and media. The Condors have never sent more than two players to an All-Star Game.

Sexton, 22, still ranks among rookie leaders in goals (13 - t-5th) and points (26 - 7th) despite not having played in Bakersfield since Nov. 22. His reassignment to Manitoba of the American Hockey League in November was short-lived, and he is now skating in the National Hockey League with the Ducks, where his six goals ranks 8th among NHL rookies, while he has added three assists for nine points in just 12 games.

Sharp, 24, is currently playing with San Antonio (AHL), where he has 3g-3a-6pts in nine games. In November he became the first skater to be recalled directly from the ECHL to make his NHL debut, and appeared in eight games with Anaheim. He had 4g-10a-14pts in 15 games with Bakersfield prior to his recall.

Pielmeier, 20, is tied for 2nd in the ECHL with 12 wins this season, and has a record of 12-7-2, with a goals against average of 2.86 (ranked 10th). His 1,257 minutes ranks third in the league, and additionally, on Dec. 19 in Utah he became the 10th goaltender in ECHL history to score a goal.

Regan, 21, is among ECHL defensemen scoring leaders, tied for 5th with 19 points and tied with teammate Sasha Pokulok for 2nd with nine goals. He is tied for the defensemen lead with five power play goals already this season, and is 2nd with four game-winning goals (5th overall in the league).

All four of the Condors All-Stars are under contract to the Anaheim Ducks. Bakersfield has been represented by two players in each of the last five seasons. Additionally, Pielmeier is the first Condors netminder to be selected for an All-Star Game.
