Nailers Acquire Zack Sill

Wheeling Nailers News Release


Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the proud ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced that center Zack Sill has been assigned to the Wheeling Nailers by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Sill is expected to make his Nailers debut during Wednesday night's game at the Reading Royals.

Sill is a 21 year old from Truro, Nova Scotia who completed his major juniors career last season with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec League scoring 9 goals and 15 assists in 58 games.

He has played in 15 games this year with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and has registered one goal and two assists.

Sill also had a brief stretch with the University of Maine in 2006-07 before deciding to pursue his opportunity with Moncton.

The Nailers hit the road Wednesday night for a 7:05 clash at the Reading Royals. Wheeling returns home for their traditional New Years' Eve game Thursday night against Bryan "Boomer" Ewing and the Toledo Walleye at 7:05. It's also Michael Jackson Tribute Night for the game.
