Come On Down For Grizzlies Fifth Homestand

Fresno, CA- The Fresno Grizzlies return to Chukchansi Park next Tuesday, May 29th for an eight game homestand that features the only visits of the year from the Round Rock Express (Houston Astros affiliate) and Albuquerque Isotopes (Florida Marlins affiliate).

Without question, the focal point of the Grizzlies fifth homestand will be on June 2nd when Chukchansi Park will host one of the most anticipated theme nights of the 2007 season. The Price is Right Night on Saturday will pay homage to the greatest game show of all time and its legendary and soon to be retired host, Bob Barker. The first 2,500 fans will receive ‘Bob Parker' bobbleheads, which depict the Grizzlies lovable mascot dressed as his favorite television icon. Fans will also receive yellow name tags for the occasion, as the Grizzlies will choose contestants throughout the game to "Come on down!" to play various pricing games based on the show's most popular contests. One lucky fan will have a chance to win a seven day cruise, courtesy of Golden Horizon Mortgage. On the field, Grizzlies players will sport the most colorful themed jerseys they have ever worn in uniforms modeled after the show's signature style. The game worn Price is Right jerseys will be up for grabs in a silent auction during the game.

The homestand will be kicked off and ended with Tecate Taco Tuesdays, presented by Tecate and 95.7 The Fox. On both May 29th and June 5th, $2 tacos will be available all game long and $2 16 oz. Tecate beers will be served through 7:35. Wednesday's contest features the Season Ten Special, presented by the Fresno Bee, where kids (12 and under), seniors (55 and up), and military personnel (with valid ID) can purchase tickets for just $1. The Grizzlies team store will also commemorate the Grizzlies tenth anniversary by offering three items for just $10 (select merchandise items only).

Thursday night's 7:05 game marks a special Thirsty Thursday, sponsored by 104.1 FM. Not only will fans be treated to $1 12 oz. beers (through the 5th inning) and sodas (all game), but the front office will celebrate the close of Mustache May with Mustache Appreciation Night. The front office males have been growing mustaches all month in efforts to garner donations for the Junior Grizzlies and are eager to see who wins the coveted Bochy Awards like "Best Tom Selleck ‘Stache" or "Most Pathetic."

Bingham Toyota presents another epic Friday Night Fireworks show on June 1st, with the first 1,000 fans also receiving Rally Towels courtesy of Rally's. Sunday's 2:05 game will feature pregame Grizzlies autographs, presented by ABC 30, and Kids Run the Bases, sponsored by Del Taco. June 4th marks the return of Monday Madness, sponsored by Wienerschnitzel, where fans can purchase 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs, and 2 sodas for just $14.
