The Omaha Royals scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to erase a three run deficit and defeat the New Orleans Zephyrs 8-7 at Rosenblatt Stadium. Zephyrs reliever Guillermo Mota on a rehab assignment from the Mets faced eight batters in the ninth inning allowed four runs off of five hits and records his first loss and a blown save. Omaha 2b Richard Lewis hit his first home run of the season to tie the game and Billy Butler drilled a double off the wall to score Joey Gathright in the walk off victory. New Orleans hit three home runs in the game, Andy Tracy drilled his 12th a two run shot and Ricky Ledee and Ben Johnson added solo shots. Omaha's Craig Brazell hit two home runs in the game and leads the league with 13 blasts. He has hit 8 home runs in his last 20 at bats. Z's starter Adam Bostick pitched six innings and allowed four runs in the no decision.

Game Notes: The three run ninth inning allowed was the largest blown lead of the season. The Z's were a perfect 19-0 when leading after nine innings prior to Mota's blown save. Omaha and the Zephyrs have played each other five times this season and all of the games have been decided by one run. The Zephyrs are 0-1 on the four game road trip. The Z's will return home on Tuesday to start a eight game home-stand.

Coming Up: The Zephyrs (23-26) and Omaha Royals (24-24) will meet in the second game of the four game series on Saturday night. New Orleans will start RH Brian Lawrence against RH Matt Wright.... Radio WIST-AM 690.
