Columbus Assigns Left Wing Lindstrom

Syracuse, NY (January 15, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned left wing Joakim Lindstrom to Syracuse.

Lindstrom, 24, has appeared in 29 games this season for the Crunch, tallying 15 goals, 23 assists and 50 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 11 games with Columbus this season, notching 2 goals, 4 assists and 8 penalty minutes.

A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom was recently selected to represent the Crunch as a starter on the PlanetUSA team at the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Reebok in Binghamton on January 27 - 28. Lindstrom was drafted by Columbus in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
