Aeros host Inaugural "Hockey Day in Houston", Family Day this Sunday

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros in conjunction with the Interscholastic Hockey League (ISHL) will be hosting the "Inaugural Hockey Day in Houston" this Sunday. The eight hours of hockey entertainment will begin at 10:30 a.m. with game one of the Sixth Annual ISHL Seniors Games inside Toyota Center. The festivities will also include an Aeros Family Game beginning at 4:05 p.m.

The first of two ISHL Senior games will begin at 10:30 a.m. featuring the Penguins taking on the Bruins. The second game is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. as the Hurricanes face off against the Flyers. Between the four teams, 60-skaters will be participating, more than any previous ISHL Senior game. The Houston Aeros will follow with a 4:05 p.m. game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Immediately after the Aeros game there will be an ISHL skills competition featuring over 70 all-star selections from around the ISHL.

The ISHL Seniors' games are free for everyone and the skills competitions are free for those in attendance at the Houston Aeros contest.

10:30 a.m. - ISHL Seniors' game one

11:45 a.m. - ISHL Seniors' game two

4:05 p.m. - Houston Aeros vs. Hamilton Bulldogs Family Game

1st Intermission - Puck handling demo., Houston Aeros Charities check presentation

2nd Intermission - ISHL Shootout demo

Post game - ISHL skills competition

Houston Aeros' Family Games are all Sunday home games and have special ticket packages starting at $67. The packages include four (4) upper end-zone seats, $20 in Toyota Bucks, four (4) Aeros gifts, free parking and a post-game family activity. Seat locations can also be upgraded.
