Colts Gallop into Bayshore
October 21, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack (5-3-1-2) will look to build on the momentum they gained in Sunday, Oct. 19's win over Windsor when they continue a home stand on Wednesday night against the Barrie Colts. Barrie, who currently sits in 2nd in the OHL's Eastern Conference with a 6-3-1-0 record, will make their 1st of three trips to the Bayshore this season when the puck drops at 7:00pm on the 22nd.
The game comes on the heels of Attack captain Zach Nastasiuk and assistant captain Chris Bigras being named to the OHL's roster for the Subway Super Series against Russia, which is set to take place on Thursday, Nov. 13 in Peterborough and Monday, Nov. 17 in Kingston.
Fans will also get to take in other Super Series players, as Barrie netminder Mackenzie Blackwood was also named to the roster for both games, while forward Brendan Lemieux earned a nod for the Kingston contest.
Tickets for Wednesday's home game, and all Attack home games, are available by visiting the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452. Early Bird Season Ticket Holders are reminded that Wednesday night is the first rain check game of the year. Game time is 7:00pm.

Keys To Victory
Attack forward Kyle Platzer said that one of the issues for the team on the weekend was their lack of jump in the opening minutes of the games. For the Attack to be successful against a strong Colts' team, they will need to come out and force the pace early and get on the board 1st to prevent Barrie from gaining any momentum.
Players To Watch
Joseph Blandisi, C, Barrie
10GP, 9G, 12A
Barrie's overage leader has been on fire to start the season and with 21 points in 10 games, he is almost guaranteed to surpass his career best of 51 points.
Kyle Platzer, C, Owen Sound
11GP, 5G, 9A
Emerging as a go-to player was something the Attack were hoping for when they traded for Kyle Platzer last year. So far this season, he has done just that, scoring 14 points in 11 games and tying overager Daniel Milne as the team's scoring leader. Platzer said he gained confidence from a successful training camp with the Edmonton Oilers, and it is showing in all facets of his game.
