Schemitsch Named Player of the Week

Owen Sound Attack defenseman Thomas Schemitsch has been named the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 19th.

Schemitsch, a sophomore defenseman tallied two goals and one assist in three games on the weekend.

After collecting an assist on Friday and being held off the score sheet on Saturday, Schemitsch had a big Sunday, scoring two goals; including the overtime winner in a 5-4 win over the visiting Windsor Spitfires while finishing the game with a +3 rating.

Schemitsch, eligible for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has had a solid start to the campaign, collecting three goals and seven assists in eleven games which puts him fifth in point amongst OHL defenseman.

The Attack is back in action on Wednesday when they host the Barrie Colts for Bayshore Broadcasting night at the Bayshore. Tickets are available at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com or by calling (519) 371-7452. Game time on Wednesday is 7:00pm.
