Cluff Hits Solo Dinger in Sens 8-2 Loss

Hartford scored four runs on a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning and cruised from there to an 8-2 win over the Senators Friday night in Hartford. The grand slam came with two outs. Hartford scored two more in the fifth and one in the seventh to lead 7-0 before the Senators scored on an RBI groundout by Dondrei Hubbard. Jackson Cluff homered with one out in the ninth.

Ronald Herrera took the loss going five innings and allowing six runs on eight hits. He walked four overall and two directly in front of the second inning grand slam. Malvin Pena tossed two innings and allowed a run on a solo home run. Danny Dopico pitched the eighth inning and allowed a single run.

Cluff had two singles to go with his home run. Jack Dunn had two hits in the game. John Nogowski doubled and scored a run.

The home run by Cluff pushes the Sens streak to eight straight games hitting a home run. Harrisburg went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and stranded 12. The Senators turned two double plays, raising their season total to 69.
