SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Agua Caliente Clippers (11-11) return to .500, cruising by the Salt Lake City Stars (16-5), 115-105, on Saturday night.
The contest belonged to Agua Caliente from start to finish, with the team never trailing and leading by as much as 21. The Clippers shot an efficient 50.6 percent from the field (43-of-85) while the Stars, who were red-hot in the teams' prior meeting on Tuesday, struggled on Saturday night, shooting 40.2 percent from the field (37-of-92) and hitting only 11 of their 38 three-point attempts.
The Clippers were paced by Amir Coffey's career-high 29 points and nine assists while shooting 10-of-16 from the field and hitting four of his eight attempts from distance.
Rodney Pryor led Salt Lake City with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Next up for Agua Caliente is a trip to southern Texas to take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday, January 14. The ballgame is set to tip-off at 5 p.m. PST inside the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.
