
Clippers Comeback Falls Short Against Vipers

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (9-7), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, defeat the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (9-8), 129-121, on Wednesday night.
Nate Darling paced Ontario with 27 points on 11-22 FGM (3-9 3PM). Keaton Wallace added 25 points on 8-19 FGM (2-7 3PM) while Warith Alatishe recorded a double-double of 14 points (7-11 FGM) and 13 rebounds.
The Vipers were led by Trevor Hudgins' game-high 33 points on 11-23 FGM (7-17 3PM). Darius Days recorded 26 points on 9-16 FGM (4-9 3PM). Cassius Stanley added 23 points on 8-13 FGM (4-7 3PM) off the Rio Grande bench.
The Clippers held the early advantage, leading by as much as nine early in the second quarter. They didn't hold the lead for long as a 17-6 run gave Rio Grande an 11-point lead to close the half. The Viper lead would grow to as much as 18 as they held on the rest of the way for the victory.
Next up, the Clippers head north to take on the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm PST inside the Kaiser Permanente Arena.
