Ontario Clippers News Release

Ontario, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (13-12) end their skid as they defeat the Stockton Kings (15-10), 113-102, on Thursday Night in Ontario.

The bench played a key role in the Clippers win, scoring 58 points. Three of the four Agua Caliente reserves scored in double figures, with J.J. Avila leading the way with a season-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds. Avila also made all four of his three point attempts.

The contest was tight through three quarters, with the two teams exchanging leads 13 times and drawing even on 11 occasions. Barely holding onto a 94-93 lead with 9:06 to go, Agua Caliente began to pull away with help from reserve Demarcus Holland, who scored 13 of the Clippers final 19 points to seal the victory. The Clippers defense starred in the final frame, creating six turnovers and holding the Kings to only 12 points.

Cameron Reynolds lead the Kings off the bench with 25 points on 10-of-19 shooting, knocking down five three pointers in the process.

Angel Delgado had another strong night on the glass, pulling down 17 rebounds, but narrowly missed a double-double, scoring only eight points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field.

Agua Caliente will try to repeat their performance as they face the Kings again on Saturday night. The game is slated to tip off at 7 p.m. (PST) in the Citizens Business Bank Arena.
