Chivas vs. Club Leon Match Rescheduled for March 26

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The international friendly between Chivas de Guadalajara and Club Leon at PayPal Park, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 9, 2021, has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 26, 2022. The match is set to kickoff at 5:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast nationally on NBC Universo.

All tickets previously purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, beginning Tuesday, January 25 at 10 a.m. PT,.

There will be a Fan Fest prior to the match starting at 1:30 p.m. PT, featuring live music, food, and an autograph session with a Chivas legend. This will also be the first time Chivas has played in the Bay Area since Quakes head coach Matias Almeyda left the Mexican club.

Founded in 1906, Chivas are one of the most successful clubs in Mexico, winning 12 Liga MX titles, seven Campeon de Campeones and four Copa MX championships. Both recent Liga MX and Copa MX titles were won in 2017, and the Concacaf Champions League in 2018, while led by Quakes head coach Matias Almeyda.

Founded in 1944, Club Leon, Liga MX Apertura 2021 finalists, have also experienced domestic success. Leon has won eight Liga MX titles, five Copa MX championships and five Campeon de Campeones. Leon's roster features several national team players from North and South America.
