Colorado Rapids News Release
The Rapids' preseason campaign is finally underway in Tucson, Arizona, and the Burgundy Boys are already making strides toward a successful 2022 season. In the coming weeks, Colorado will take on fellow MLS Western Conference sides Sporting Kansas City and Houston Dynamo FC while preparing for the busy year ahead.
The exhibition matches with SKC and Houston are slated to be a part of the Desert Showcase presented by Visit Tucson and will take place at Kino Sports Complex, home to USL side FC Tucson. Seattle Sounders FC and Colorado rivals Real Salt Lake will also participate in the preseason showcase.
The Rapids take on Sporting first on January 29th at 4 PM before meeting with Houston a week later on February 5th at 4 PM. Tickets for the exhibitions are available on FC Tucson's website. Both matches will be livestreamed at coloradorapids.com/live. These streams will only be available for residents within the Rapids' local broadcast territory.
After wrapping up their preseason campaign in Arizona, the Rapids will travel to Guatemala for the first leg of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 against Comunicaciones FC before returning to DICK'S Sporting Goods Park for the second leg. Colorado kicks off the 2022 MLS regular season on February 26th against LAFC at Banc of California Stadium.
