
Chili cook-off and musical festival features five local bands

Municipal Stadium will once again host the 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off & Music Festival on September 23rd, 2006. This year the event will showcase five local bands starting at 12:00 p.m. and lasting until 5:00 p.m.
"Ledbetter Heights" will kick off the festivities at noon followed by "Complete Circle" at 1:00 p.m. Live music will continue throughout the afternoon with "The Freddie Long Band" taking the stage at 2:00 p.m., followed by "Ivy Rowe" at 3:00 p.m. and "The Blue Sky Traffic" will play the final set beginning at 4:00 p.m. Each band will play for approximately forty-five minutes.
There were 30 submissions by different musical acts for this year's event, and these five bands were selected by the Chili Cook-Off Committee. A mix of rock, soul, funk, jazz and blues will be played at Municipal Stadium on September 23rd, as all bands each bring their own unique style to the stage.

The 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off & Music Festival is set for Saturday September 23rd, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale on the event website for just $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12.
