
Playoffs will follow final regular season games

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Four regular season games remain before the BlueClaws begin their first postseason play in team history. The final four games will be played against the Lake County Captains and the first round of the South Atlantic League Playoffs will face the BlueClaws against the Lexington Legends. All games will be played at the award winning FirstEnergy Park.
The S.A.L. recognized FirstEnergy Park as The Best 2006 Playing Field as a part of their end of season Achievement Awards. The award will be presented at the Seventh Annual South Atlantic League Awards Luncheon on October 26, 2006 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Lake County Captains, single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, come to Lakewood on Friday, September 1 for a 7:05 start. The ballgame will be followed with a fireworks show to celebrate the BlueClaws first place finish this season. The fireworks celebration will be presented by Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood.
Saturday's game is also slated for 7:05 and will feature the final bobblehead night of the 2006 season. The business mogul Donald Trump is featured in this installment of bobbleheads that will be given to the first 2,000 fans courtesy of Mountain Spring Waters of America featuring Trump Ice.
The final fireworks show of the year will take place after the 7:05 game on Sunday. Again, the fireworks are presented courtesy of Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood.
Monday, September 4 has been named Fan Appreciation Day. The BlueClaws greatly appreciate the support fans have shown over the 2006 season and have decided to spend this day to honor the best fans in baseball. In past years, the BlueClaws have given away money and a horse. Come to close out another great regular season of BlueClaws baseball to see what you could bring home this year.
The BlueClaws will begin postseason play at FirstEnergy Park on September 6 at 7:05. BlueWater Communications will be presenting Game One of the South Atlantic League Northern Division Series Championship and will be giving away commemorative tickets to the 1st 5,000 fans through the gates.
The BlueClaws have clinched a playoff spot in the Northern Division of the South Atlantic League. There are only four regular season home games left during the 2006 season. Over 425,000 fans have already enjoyed BlueClaws baseball this year and over 2.6 million fans have spun the turnstiles in just under six seasons at FirstEnergy Park.
