El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas fell behind by three runs early but scored four unanswered runs to come back and beat the Salt Lake Bees 5-4 Sunday at Southwest University Park. El Paso scored twice in the fifth inning on an RBI groundout by Chris Nelson and an RBI single by Jeff Francoeur. One inning later, Rocky Gale's sacrifice fly tied the game and Reymond Fuentes' RBI single put El Paso ahead. Dennis O'Grady, Michael Nix and Jerry Sullivan each completed scoreless outings to keep the Chihuahuas ahead to stay.

Fuentes went 4-for-4 atop the El Paso batting order. Francoeur went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and now has nine hits in his last four games. The Chihuahuas overcame an early 3-0 deficit, which developed after Salt Lake scored once in the first and twice in the second. It was the fourth time in five games the Chihuahuas allowed a first-inning run.

The Chihuahuas enter the Pacific Coast League All-Star break in second place by themselves, nine games behind first place Las Vegas.
