The El Paso Chihuahuas collected 19 hits in their 12-8 win over the Reno Aces Thursday night at Greater Nevada Field. It was the Chihuahuas' first win in the series after dropping the first two games.

El Paso center fielder Taylor Kohlwey went 4-for-6 with four RBIs in the win. The four hits were a season high for Kohlwey and tied his career high. Kohlwey has seven hits in the last two games. Right fielder Tirso Ornelas went 3-for-5 with a home run and a double and moved his career-high hitting streak to 14 games. Ornelas is one game shy of Max Schrock's 15-game hitting streak for the longest by a Chihuahuas player this season.
