Syracuse Mets News Release

The Syracuse Chiefs are excited to announce Clint Cure as the team's new Assistant General Manager. Clint comes to Syracuse after spending the last two seasons in Port St. Lucie, Florida as the Assistant General Manager of the New York Mets Spring Training facility and the St. Lucie Mets (Advanced-A N.Y. Mets).

"I'm so excited to be here in Syracuse and to get started." Cure said. "The Chiefs have done great things over the last few years and I'm looking forward to meeting all of our fans and continuing to build on what has already been accomplished here."

Cure comes to Syracuse with a wealth of experience in minor league baseball and in various sports marketing positions. Prior to his role in Port St. Lucie, Cure spent the previous seven years working for the minor league operation in Daytona Beach, Florida. Cure started as Director of Sales for the Daytona Cubs (Advanced-A Cubs), and was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 2013. Cure helped orchestrate the branding change to the Daytona Tortugas prior to the 2015 season, when the team then became affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds. Before his work in minor league baseball, Cure spent two years working at the International Speedway Corporation (NASCAR), based out of Daytona Beach, Florida.

"We're so excited to bring Clint on board!" said Chiefs General Manager, Jason Smorol. "Clint has a lot of great ideas to bring to the table, and we are looking forward to showing Clint what Chiefsville is all about."

Cure is a native of Highmount, NY and a graduate from The State University of New York at Cortland.
