Chiefs Power Past Wheeling

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs power play was clicking Saturday night, as they scored all six goals on the man advantage en route to a 6-2 win over the visiting Wheeling Nailers at the War Memorial in front of a sellout crowd of 3,752.

Steve Hildenbrand continued his hot play with a goal and three assists. P.L. Courchesne scored twice, while Jeff Zehr, Larry Courville and Jay Langager also tallied. Wheeling got a goal from Eddie Pershin and a power play tally from J.F. Dufour.

Chiefs goaltender David Currie made 26 saves for his 15th win of the season. Wheeling goaltender Tyler MacKay made 30 saves.

The Chiefs improve their record to 37-19-6. Wheeling remains in first place in the Northern divison at 47-14-3.

The Chiefs are back on home ice, tomorrow afternoon when they host the Trenton Titans at 2:30 p.m. Following the game there will be a FREE "Skate with the Chiefs," and autograph session. Skate rentals will not be available. Sunday, March 21st, the Chiefs host the Dayton Bombers at 2:30 p.m. Mark Sunday, March 28th on your calendar as it is Jeff Sullivan Bobble head day. The first 2,000 people through the gate will receive a Jeff Sullivan bobble head, courtesy of Crown American and the Johnstown Renaissance Group.
