
Chiefs down to 23 players

Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs will take 23 players on the road on Saturday when they begin the regular season versus the Kootenay Ice. Spokane reassigned two players this afternoon; Mike Senseman to South Surrey of the BCHL and Chris Langkow to Fort Saskatchewan to play AAA Midget.
The roster does not include 20-year-old defenseman Gustav Engman who remains in camp with the Vancouver Canucks.
The Chiefs are carrying two 20-year-olds, seven 19-year-olds, seven 18-year-olds, five 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds. By position, Spokane has two goaltenders, eight defenseman and 13 forwards.
Mike Boyle will go on the air on KJRB 790 the Fan at 5:30 on Saturday night with the first Comcast Hockey Tonight of the season. The puck will drop at 6:00 from the Cranbrook Rec-Plex.
Spokane will begin the home portion of the regular season on Saturday, October 1st versus the Tri-City Americans. Tickets are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
