KAMLOOPS, BC - Today the Kamloops Blazers are proud to announce their captaincy team for the 2005-06 season.
The team has chosen Reid Jorgensen as its captain, with Matt Kassian, Marc Connors, and Moises Gutierrez as alternates.

Kassian, 19, a 2nd round pick of the Minnesota Wild in this summer's NHL Entry Draft, is starting his first full year in a Blazer uniform after coming over in a trade with Vancouver in January.
Connors, 20, who the Blazers acquired at the beginning of August from the Tri-City Americans, is going into his 5th WHL season.
Gutierrez, 19, the Blazers' second round bantam selection in 2002 and a 6th round pick of the Pittsburgh in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, is entering the 4th year of his WHL career.

KAMLOOPS, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have unveiled a revamped version of the team's website, now located at www.blazerhockey.com.
Jason Wassing of Sweetwater Web Media of Kamloops headed the redesign process, helping give the website a cleaner, more user-friendly, navigation system.
"Our old site, while fully functional and quite thorough, lacked a real user-friendly face," says Blazers Director of Marketing Mark Mullens. Jason has done an outstanding job of giving our site a 'face lift' which we hopes makes our site a much more enjoyable place to visit."
Fans are asked to give the new site a "test browse" at its new address: www.blazerhockey.com
In addition, all Blazer e-mail addresses are now username@blazerhockey.com.

KAMLOOPS, BC - The Kamloops Blazers are excited to unveil a brand new on-ice look for the hockey team with completely re-designed home and away jerseys for the 2005-06 season and beyond.
"Our uniforms for 2004-05 were special editions commemorating 20 seasons of Blazer hockey," said General Manager Dean Clark. "These new jerseys are a mix of old and new, with a little bit of the old familiar sleeve-length stripe updated to a modern, powerful, energetic look. As well, the addition of silver to our colour scheme gives our appearance a real modern, industrial edge," added Clark.
The new jerseys were designed last October and went into production this past spring and summer at The Hockey Company's factory in Quebec. As with all WHL jerseys, the new Blazer jerseys will once again carry the Reebok trademark.
"We're continuing to build the identity of our club," continued Clark. "By starting this season with a brand new look, which still retains elements of our classic jersey style of the 80s and 90s, we will further develop the culture and the attitude of a winning hockey team."
