Chiefs Crushed By Titans

Johnstown, PA- The visiting Trenton Titans scored three power play goals as they handed the Johnstown Chiefs a 6-1 loss, Friday night at the War Memorial.

The Chiefs opened the scoring in the first period as Shawn Mather scored in his first game with the team. It would be all Trenton from there, as they scored six consecutive goals. Mike Hurley and Matt Zultek each had a pair of goals for the Titans, while Eric Betournay and Scott Bertoli also scored.

Titans goaltender David St. Germain made 30 saves for his 9th win of the season, while Chiefs goaltender Peter Aubry suffered his 17th loss of the season, making 25 saves.

The Chiefs fall to 21-28-8 on the season, while Trenton improves to 29-17-8.

Saturday night the Chiefs will play their 1,000th ECHL game when they host the Toledo Storm. Game time is at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 people through the gate will receive a FREE commemorative coffee mug, courtesy of Sheetz. During the second intermission, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win $1,000 dollars in the 1st Summit Bank cash drop.
