Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros Charities has selected the Snowdrop Foundation (http://www.snowdropfoundation.org/) as its first benefactor of the new "HAC Cheers for Charities" program, which launched today in an effort to bring recognition to charities in the Houston area.
Aeros Charities is asking fans to nominate charities that they work with or volunteer for to be a monthly recipient of HAC Cheers for Charities. The selected charity will be highlighted at Aeros home games, on the Aeros website (www.aeros.com/charities/cheers), receive a complimentary appearance by the Aero Dynamics on an agreed upon date, and tickets to an Aeros home game during their winning month. Visit www.aeros.com/charities/cheers to find out how to nominate your favorite charity.
"This is a great opportunity for us to help highlight charities in the Houston area, especially those that our Aeros fans are extremely passionate about," Aeros Charities executive director Courtney Eidman said.
Snowdrop Foundation provides compassion and inspiration to patients and families battling childhood cancer at Texas Children's Cancer Center, along with college scholarships to long-term survivors, and funding for continued research to eliminate childhood cancer.
"When you meet a child with cancer, you're immediately struck by their positive attitude and the strength of their family," Snowdrop Foundation president/co-founder Kevin Kline said. "My pediatric cancer patient friends have changed my life forever and Snowdrop Foundation is my way of honoring them and paying them back. I am grateful that HAC believes so much in our mission that they made us the first featured charity of the new season."
Houston Aeros Charities is dedicated to creating programs and fundraising initiatives which address the educational and physical needs of children in the Houston Gulf Coast area by establishing partnerships with social service organizations.
