
Charlotte Ends Losing Streak with 5-2 Win Over Louisville

FORT MILL, S.C. - August 16, 2007 - The Charlotte Knights returned home and ended a five-game losing streak season with a 5-2 win over Louisville. Pitcher Andrew Sisco (2-5, 4.04) picked up his second win of the season, going six innings with seven strikeouts. David Aardsma (S, 11, 3.81) got the save.
1B Casey Rogowski went 2-3, hitting his 12 home run of the season, a solo shot in the 8th. DH Kenny Perez added to his season-high 10-game hitting streak with a single in the 2nd. Perez is 13-37, with two HR and four RBI's in his last 10 games.
The Bats took the early lead 2-0 with catcher Ryan Hanigan's two-run home run in the top of the 2nd. The Knights exploded with four runs in the bottom of the 6th beginning with Tomas Perez's single that scored Jason Bourgeois.
The teams conclude their season series on Friday. Nick Masset (0-2, 2.96) will start on the mound for the Knights. The Bats counter with Kirk Saarloos (0-2, 3.30).
