WHAT: Young girl to throw out ceremonial first pitch

On Friday, Aug. 17 at approximately 6:45 p.m., Sarah Godfrey will make a major step in her recovery from a serious automobile accident as she takes the mound at PNC Field to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Sarah is a 14-year-old girl from Wilkes-Barre, who was hit by a car on Nov. 17, 2006 and sustained a traumatic brain injury. Since the accident she has made major strides in her recovery and will be throwing the first pitch on the nine month anniversary of her accident.
