Cat's 6-5 victory Over Tucson Sidewinders Gives Team Sixth Division Crown in Eight Seasons

West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats clinched the PCL Pacific Conference Southern Division crown on Friday night with the team's 6-5 victory over the Tucson Sidewinders at Tucson Electric Park in Arizona. The title is the River Cats' 6th in their 8-year history.

The River Cats' first round opponent will be the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A affiliate of the LA Angels of Anaheim), who locked up the Pacific Conference Northern division title on Tuesday. The two teams will open their best-of-five series on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City. The team's first home playoff game is scheduled for Friday, September 7th.
