
Redbirds ready for final weekend

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will wrap up their Pacific Coast League season on Monday, September 3 with special guests singing the national anthem.
Cast members from the US National Tour of Disney's The Lion King will sing the anthem before Monday's game. The show is performing at The Orpheum until September 16. The Redbirds will also say thanks to their fans with Fan Appreciation Day with game time scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
Saturday night the Redbirds will pay tribute to the 1982 World Series featuring the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers. The first 1500 fans will receive a 1982 St. Louis Cardinal replica jersey t-shirt. Memphis and Nashville will wear throwback jerseys from the 1982 season with select jerseys being auctioned off in a silent auction during the game.
The Redbirds will have their final fireworks show on Sunday with first pitch slated for a special time of 6:40 p.m.
