CHARLESTON, SC - Pinch-runner Kelvin Castro scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth, as the Charleston RiverDogs overcame a sixth-inning deficit to down the Augusta GreenJackets, 4-3, in front 5,289 fans in South Atlantic League action at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park Tuesday night.

Charleston ends a two-game skid and climbs to 30-34 in the triumph, while Augusta falls to 39-26.

With a 3-3 tie in the ninth, Francisco Arcia opened the frame with a single to center against Jose Valdez and moved to second on a wild pitch. A sacrifice bunt by Emerson Landoni moved him to third base with one out.

Slade Heathcott was intentionally walked, and Castro was inserted to run for Arcia. With J.R. Murphy batting, a low offering from Valdez (3-2) rolled through the legs of catcher Tommy Joseph and Castro slid feet-first under the swipe tag to give Charleston its sixth walkoff win of the year.

RiverDogs All-Star Ryan Flannery (5-2) earned his fifth victory of the season in relief, which now leads the staff. The Carlstadt, N.J. native worked 2.0 scoreless innings to bring his streak to 18 innings pitched without allowing a run.

The RiverDogs lit the scoreboard first, when Zoilo Almonte knocked his team-leading 10th home run of the season over the right field wall for a 2-0 Charleston lead.

The GreenJackets ended the bid for a shutout in the top of the fifth inning, when Ydwin Villegas' RBI groundout brought Dan Cook home from third. Cook opened the inning with a single to left and moved to third on a Ryan Lollis double. Lollis went on to score on a Jose Ramirez wild pitch, bringing the game to a 2-2 tie.

Ramirez lasted 5.1 innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits while striking out four batters.

Augusta broke the 2-2 stalwart in the top of the sixth when Lollis' fielder's choice off Charleston reliever Ryan Acosta brought Chris Dominguez home as Augusta took the lead, 3-2.

Following a Jimmy Paredes triple with one out in the bottom of the sixth, Rob Lyerly's single to right pushed Paredes home to bring the score back to a tie at 3-3 entering the seventh inning.

Jeremy Toole went 5.1 innings for the GreenJackets, surrendering six hits, three earned runs and sinking four batters.

Lyerly extended his hitting streak to a career-best 10 games with a 3-for-4 night, while Almonte's home run gives him six RBI in the series. Heathcott also swiped two bases for Charleston.

The final contest of this three-game series is set for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday night. Charleston sends right-hander Jairo Heredia (2-1, 5.08) to the mound, while Augusta counters with right-hander Kyle Vazquez (4-2, 3.22).
