June 15, 2010 | Arthur W. Perdue Stadium | 7:05 p.m.

Series: Delmarva 1-0

PREVIEW: Following a 1-0 series opening win, the Shorebirds gear up for game two against the Kannapolis Intimidators. Kenny Moreland tossed a seven-inning gem to earn his second win of the season. Garabez Rosa connected on his 24th RBI of the season in the seventh inning to give the 'Birds a 1-0 lead.

SECOND QUICKEST GAME: Last night's game marked the second fastest game of the season for Delmarva. The 1-0 contest took two hours. The Shorebirds played a nine-inning 1:59 minute ballgame on April 27 against Hagerstown.

FOUR STRAIGHT: The Shorebirds have won four straight games at Perdue Stadium. They beat Hagerstown in games two through four of the last home series. The four game home winning streak is the longest of the season. Prior to the current streak, the 'Birds had only won home games in a row twice (4/19-4/20 & 5/28-5/29).

ROSTER MOVES: Yesterday, the Baltimore Orioles released Shorebirds pitchers Tony Butler and Jake Smith. Butler posted a 1-4 mark with a 7.66 ERA while Jake Smith went 3-2 with a 4.54 ERA. Corresponding moves were also made as RHP Tom Phelps and RHP Kevin Landry were added to the 'Birds bullpen. Phelps was a 38th round selection in 2008 out of Whittier College. Landry was a 21st round selection in 2009 out of the College of William & Mary.
