Greenville Grrrowl News Release

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced that KEITH CASSIDY (D) will be competing with Team Canada in the World Senior AAA Amateur World Championships in Tokyo, Japan from February 4-9. Cassidy was a member of the IldesChenes Northstars in the Hanover-Tache Hockey League last season and won a league championship, which qualified them for the World Championships. To comply with ECHL requirements, the Grrrowl has waived Cassidy for the period he will be gone.

BOBBY CUNNINGHAM (F) had successful surgery on Thursday to repair an injured right shoulder. The injury and rehabilitation will make him inactive for the remainder of the 2003-04 seasons with the Grrrowl. Cunningham had totaled 40 points and 24 penalty minutes in 36 games this season.

The Grrrowl will begin a weekend road trip with a game in Columbus tonight to play the Cottonmouths and will continue on to Florence to face the Pride on Saturday night. Greenville Grrrowl single-game tickets, mini-plans and flex packs are on sale now. Fans can call 864-467-GRRR or log on to grrrowl.com for more information.
