TRENTON, NJ (January 30, 2004) â Over 2,500 students from 37 different schools representing nine different counties throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania took part in the Titans "School Day" game on Thursday, January 29 at Sovereign Bank Arena. With the Trenton Titans and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies facing-off at 10:30am, students got the opportunity to attend the game with their classes and take part in educational activities.
Each student attending the game received a package containing Titans memorabilia and a Trenton Titans School Day activities booklet. The booklet contained facts teaching the reader about the game of hockey, as well as show how various aspects of the sport relate to school subjects such as History, Geometry and Math.
Those in attendance were treated to a great match between division rivals, as the Titans came back twice to tie the game against the Bullies and send the game into overtime. After a scoreless extra frame, Atlantic City was able to prevail in the shootout, handing the Titans a 4-3 loss.
