Led by forward Graig Mischler's three-assist effort, Reading defeated Augusta (17-21-4) at home, 5-3. The Royals are now 14-1-2 at the Sovereign Center, winning their last five contests on home ice.
Reading (22-13-7) notched three, first period goals, including Judd Medak's team-leading 17th tally of the season. With the win, the Royals moved to 18-2-3 when scoring first this season.
In addition to Mischler's 10th multiple point game of the year, five other Reading skaters recorded more than one point.
Goaltender Cody Rudkowsky was once again stellar between the pipes, stopping 24 shots en-route to his 15th win of the season.
The Royals travel to Johnstown to battle the Chiefs on Saturday, January 31st. The puck drops at 7:00 pm. On Sunday, February 1st, Reading returns home to host the Dayton Bombers, with the action getting underway at 1:05 pm.
