North Little Rock, AR - RHP Andre Pallante, RHP Cory Thompson and RHP Grant Black combined to blank the Arkansas Travelers (44-41) as the Springfield Cardinals (33-52) took the 9-0 win in the series opener at Dickey-Stephens Park on Tuesday night.

W - RHP Andre Pallante (4-6)

L - RHP Alejandro Requena (6-5)

Notables:

RHP Andre Pallante shut down the Travs through 6.0 one-hit, scoreless innings, striking out four and walking only two... RHP Cory Thompson made his Springfield debut with 2.0 scoreless innings, followed by a scoreless 9th from RHP Grant Black to close the shutout... RF Matt Koperniak made his Double-A debut with a 2x4 line, including an RBI double in his first at-bat... 2B Nick Dunn went 2x5 with an RBI... 1B Brendan Donovan went 2x5 with two RBIs... SS Delvin Perez went 2x4 with two runs.
