Canucks Reassign Forward Joseph Labate to the Comets

Utica, NY - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has re-assigned forward Joseph LaBate to the Utica Comets.

LaBate, 23, has registered 1.8 hits per game in 13 appearances with the Canucks this season. The 6-5, 210-pound forward has also collected 13 points (4-9-13) and 63 penalty minutes in 29 games for Utica.

A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, LaBate was drafted by Vancouver in the fourth round, 101st overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
