Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), have announced the following player transaction.

Added on ATO Matt Roy - D

Roy, who signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Kings Monday, joins the Reign after helping Michigan Tech to the NCAA Regional Semi-Finals before falling to the University of Denver. The 22-year-old defenseman picked up 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) over 42 games with the Huskies this season.

Over three seasons at Michigan Tech, Roy totaled 55 points (12 goals, 43 assists) in 115 games. He was selected by the Kings in the seventh round (194 overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

The Reign travel to Bakersfield, California to take on the Bakersfield Condors on Friday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. at Rabobank Arena! Tune in to the action at OntarioReign.com!
