Canaries postponed by rain

Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Thursday night series finale between the Sioux Falls Canaries and the Wichita Wingnuts has been postponed by rain.

The game will be made up when the Canaries return from a nine-game road trip to host the Wichita Wingnuts at the Birdcage on June 17. On that night the Canaries will play a doubleheader beginning at 6:05 p.m. On June 17, the Canaries will team up with Volunteers of America to celebrate Father's Day with their "My Dad Is a Professional Baseball Player" promotion. One lucky dad will win the opportunity to be an honorary member of the Canaries for the June 17 doubleheader.

Tickets for today's game can be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value to any 2008 regular-season home game, based on availability. All exchanges must take place at the Canaries box office.

The Birds will hit the road on Friday night to open a three-game series in Sioux City with a 7:05 p.m. game.
