Calgary Vipers News Release
In a rain shortened contest the Calgary Vipers defeated the Victoria Seals 5-2 at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, British Columbia. Out of the bullpen Junior Iboa made his season debut and struck out two batters in a hitless inning of work while Claudio Galva (2) recorded the save in picking up the final two outs of the eighth inning with two runners on.
Calgary scored first in the second inning when Drew Miller walked to reach base for a 15th straight game, Caonabo Cosme singled, and Luis Taveras made the game 1-0 with a run batted in base hit.

Another lone run was added by Calgary in the fourth as Guillermo Reyes doubled and Mejia singled him home for a 3-0 lead.
Victoria got a tally back in the bottom of the inning for a 3-1 score as Wilver Perez singled, stole second base, and scored on a Terrence McClain RBI single.
For the fourth straight inning the Snakes scored a single run as in the fifth frame Kaplan and Cosme walked and after a wild pitch Taveras drove in his second run of the game when he reached on an error.
Again the Seals got within two runs in the sixth at 4-2 as McClain singled, stole second base, moved to third on a groundout by Brian Rios, and scored on a passed ball.
