
Caldera Named American Association Pitcher of the Week

FARGO, ND - Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks RHP Alex Caldera has been named the American Association Pitcher of the Week for May 27-June 2.
Caldera was 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA in two starts last week for Fargo-Moorhead. He pitched six scoreless innings against the Sioux Falls Canaries on Monday, allowing just two hits and striking out six. On Saturday, Caldera allowed two runs on four hits in 5.0 innings pitched in the second game of a doubleheader against the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
This season, Caldera is 3-1 with a 2.66 ERA in four starts. He has allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 20 hits. Caldera has walked eight batters and struck out 21. He is scheduled to make his next start on Thursday afternoon at Newman Outdoor Field against the Lincoln Saltdogs.
